The magic of a walk with a friend, when you really need to steam off. And then ~ there’s no denying we Italians are always complaining and we forget how magic our next door surroundings are ~ I have found myself appreciating the beauty of my countryside, with unexpected tiny signs of history and art.

don’t complain. observe and get lost.

Car brakes screeched, telling me to stop, immediately.

Striking how we tend to miss things around us. So focused on our daily duties, our issues, our “free” lives. So time goes by, leaving us somehow empty, with a lack of experiences. How easy it is to blame others, or insufficient money, or misfortune and bad health.

Truth is that we can  find breathtaking details even by stopping at the next parking lot and wander along our town streets. So that is what I did today.  I decided to stop and park just because outside my car windows so many unbelievable curves where waiting to be immortalized by my modest smart phone. Jumping out of my light blue Italian Panda, I headed to those curves that were calling for me, and that I constantly and invariably take for granted.

And so I took a new curve and aim in life: stopping every day for a memorable photo of my surroundings. Observe and get lost in your homeland too.

If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it;

blame yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches […].
